Prerequisites

1. .Net Framework v3.5 to compile or use any tasks

2. BizTalk 2006 to use the MSBuild.ExtensionPack.BizTalk.dll tasks

3. IIS7 to use the MSBuild.ExtensionPack.IIS7.dll tasks.

4. J# Redistributable Second Edition to use the MSBuild.ExtensionPack.JSharp.dll tasks.

5. StyleCop 4.3 to use the MSBuild.ExtensionPack.StyleCop.dll tasks

6. FxCop 1.36 to use the FxCop task.

7. Sync Framework 1.0 to use the MSBuild.ExtensionPack.Sync.dll tasks.

8. SQL Server 2005 to use the MSBuild.ExtensionPack.Sql2005.dll tasks.

9. SQL Server 2008 to use the MSBuild.ExtensionPack.Sql2008.dll tasks.

10. Windows Virtual PC to use the MSBuild.ExtensionPack.WindowsVirtualPC.dll tasks.

Installation

When using the MSI installer, the default installation path is

· %PROGRAMFILES%\MSBuild\ExtensionPack

Note: if you do not install the MSBuild Extension Pack to the default installation path, you will need to alter the MSBuild.ExtensionPack.tasks file as it refers to $(MSBuildExtensionsPath) which always refers to %PROGRAMFILES%.
